Networks and Devices

Routers and gateways you keep, not rent.

A licensed software stack, ewusOS, running across several hardware tiers, for PGs and hostels, coaching institutes, small businesses and regional internet providers.

Why this exists

Locked-down CPE is the default today

Most PG and hostel owners, coaching institutes and small businesses run whatever router their ISP handed over. That device is usually locked down: no configuration control, no local-language support, and if it fails there is little to do beyond calling the ISP and waiting. That frustration is common and well documented in online forums, not something we are inventing.

Separately, most managed WiFi platforms sell software on top of someone else's hardware. We are building the hardware and the software together, as one stack, for the segment that is stuck between "ISP box you cannot touch" and "enterprise gear you cannot afford."

What we commit to

A different ownership model

Ten years of updates

Consumer networking gear is usually abandoned by its maker within about eighteen months, a pattern well known enough that open source firmware projects use it as their reason to exist. We support what we sell for a decade instead.

No subscription hostage

Some networking brands cut off features, or the whole device, the day a subscription lapses. If an ewusOS licence lapses, the device keeps routing your traffic. Only the extra cloud features pause.

Fails open, never shut

If something on our side breaks, your connection stays up. A security or management feature failing should never take your internet down with it.

Your language

Setup and troubleshooting in Hindi and other Indian languages is planned for ewusOS, not bolted on as an afterthought. See what's next below.

Who it's for

One stack, several hardware tiers

PGs and hostels

Per-room or per-floor control, without needing an IT person on site.

Coaching institutes and small businesses

Guest and staff networks kept separate, with visibility into what is actually happening on the network.

Regional ISPs

CPE that can be configured and supported at scale, instead of a black box shipped once and never touched again.

Compliance

Certification status, plainly stated

Network devices sold in India need to clear MTCTE and WPC requirements before they can be sold, alongside relevant BIS and STQC checks. We have not completed that process. We are not certified yet, and we are not claiming otherwise. First units are in trial while we work through it properly, the same way we work through compliance for everything we build: designed in from the start, not bolted on at the end.
